Thelonious Waghorn was an awkward young man,
With red curly locks and skin like dried ham.
That was till one night when the old bells did toll,
He happened upon a man with a deal for his soul.
In exchange for the things he had always longed for,
Theolonius thought fast "I keep mine... but I'll bring many more".
Things went well for a while the world sweet just like honey,
He found a wife, had a child,
his carnival of wonderment brought plenty of money.
But his plan was discovered by his Clairvoyant wife,
His fortune had come for the nightly cost of a life.
She begged him to stop to relinquish his purse,
If he did not acquiesce she’d unleash a grim curse.
But the prize was too great and his weakness too strong,
He’d banish his wife before the day's last bird song.
A curse was unleashed as her breath softly speaks,
Theolonius and his troupe, would soon become freaks.
No one would have them, they chased them with fire,
They hid deep in a valley, for fear of the pyre.
Condemned to this place as their audience forgets,
But a showman must perform so they built marionettes.
To sit still in wonder, to watch and adore,
The show must go on to the end, evermore.

A two-and-a-half-hour musical variety spectacular blending live music, circus, cabaret, comedy and theatrical storytelling.
Built around the continuing story of Thelonious Waghorn, the show is adaptable by design: bands, circus performers, cabaret artists and speciality acts can change from venue to venue, while the characters, story and world of the Carnival remain the same.
It means no two Carnival shows need ever be quite alike.
